HAVANA - Ramón Arias Arias, 29, hung himself on Monday (Oct. 4) in a cell at a police station in Manzanillo, Granma province in eastern Cuba.

He added that the authorities took the body down seven hours later. Arias had been under arrest since Sept. 30, accused of stealing a pig from a local pencil factory. He was buried Tuesday morning, Oct. 5.
