ROCA, A SIGNER OF "HOMELAND BELONGS TO ALL OF US" LABELED "DANGEROUS INMATE" By Mary Miranda, Cuba Free Press.
HAVANA - The warden of the Ariza maximum security prison in Cienfuegos province in central Cuba has labeled Vladimiro Roca Antúnez a "dangerous inmate" and placed him in isolation because, he said, other inmates, defenders of the revolution, might make attempts on his life.
The official, known as Capt. Vladimir, spoke in the prison's theatre to a troupe from the Young Communists League who were there to put on a show for some of the inmates. The official gave details of prison life to the performers before the show.
Vladimiro Roca is one of four signers of the manifesto "The Homeland Belongs to All of Us" and has been confined at Ariza since the summer 1997. Amnesty, International, considers him a "political prisoner."
