MORE THAN 20 PEOPLE SICKENED AFTER EATING PIZZAS By Jorge Diego Rodríguez Delgado, Cuba Free Press.

HAVANA - More than 20 people were sickened on Aug. 15 after eating some pizzas at a place called "High Altitude Camps" at Bahia Honda in the Pinar del Rio province.

Among those admitted to the Commandant Pinares hospital, five were said to be in grave condition, including the pizza salesman, who has his own pizza business. Among those affected were two children, according to Juan Antonio Sánchez, Cuba Free Press reporter.

The sickness caused vomiting and even convulsions among some of the victims. The general belief among observers was that the flour had become contaminated. The ministers of health and of the interior are involving in studying the situation, the second such happening this year in Cuba. The earlier occurrence took place in Manguitos, in Matanzas province, where two who were made ill did not recover.
