THE CDR GOES ON THE OFFENSIVE By Ariel Tapia, Cuba Free Press.

HAVANA - The Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) continue their harsh campaign against illegality. Now those who buy, sell, build, switch or rent homes will have to be on the lookout. The controls will become more rigorous to detect any "shady dealings" among the residents.

In a meeting which the government organization held in this capital city, those attending included Vice-President Carlos Lage. The delegates agreed "the CDR will turn into the defenders of the ethics of all revolutionaries who are renting their homes within the framework of legality and would establish a code of moral conduct appropriate for the tenants."

The organization people also reviewed: Those who offer alternative study sessions for small sums and drag-motorcycle and car racers. Drag racing has emerged recently in Havana. Both activities will be from now on persecuted by the "loyal" CDR membership.
