BLOOD NEEDED FOR COMMUNISM By Ariel Tapia, Cuba Free Press.

HAVANA - To fulfill their blood donation plan, some hospitals and clinics of the Cuban capital have urged their workers to offer their veins on behalf of the revolution.

In a meeting celebrated at the "Luis de la Puente Uceda" Clinic in the zone of La VÝbora, a Communist Party leader went even further when he proposed that physicians and nurses being their loved ones to join the blood donation campaign.

In the last few years the number of people willing to give their blood has been reduced to the minimum, mainly because of the nutritional deterioration the country suffers. However, in Cuba the plans are "sacred" and whatever the political slogans pray for must be achieved and overachieved.
